BTU Restores Power After Outage in Wellborn Area

COLLEGE STATION UPDATE: 8:11 a.m. BTU says that all power has been restored to customers in the Wellborn area. Crews are still working on the cause of the outage.

Bryan Texas Utilities says they are working on an outage in the Wellborn area Tuesday morning.

According to BTU, the outage happened at the Koppe Bridge substation around around 5:21 Tuesday morning.

Officials with the power provider don't know yet what caused the outage, but say the load has been picked up and that customers should have power back.

BTU officials said they haven't had any "lights out" calls yet, but have crews in the area checking the lines.
