A FLOOD WATCH has been issued for the following counties: Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Trinity, Waller, Walker & Washington counties through Thursday night. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH has been issued for Lee, Milam, Robertson & Leon Counties through Thursday night. Widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible through Thursday night. Some areas may even see totals of 5 to 7 inches of localized rainfall.
An injured Bryan firefighter is receiving support from friends and strangers this weekend.
On Saturday John Gause Plumbing is hosting a benefit for Mitch Moran.
Moran was severely injured on February 15th when two firefighters died after battling a blaze at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Bryan.
The benefit is happening from noon to 6 P.M. Saturday at the VFW Hall on 2818 in Bryan.
Fire engines from all four county departments will be present for tours as well as a PHI Air Medical Helicopter will be landing around 12:30 P.M. for tours.
Smokey the Bear with the Texas Forest Service will also be there to see kids.
Other activities include horse rides, silent auctions, a bounce house, Aggieland Pets with a Purpose, and food including hamburgers, sausage and hot dogs.
Three bands will perform including Sam Shupak, the Rock a Fellas, and the Texas Twisters.
