Benefit Fundraiser for Ricky Bordeau All Day Saturday

Come out to the BBQ Fundraiser to help an Edge Family as their only son battles Stage II Lymphoma Cancer.

Ricky Bordeau was diagnosed with Lymphoma in March; since then he and his family have been traveling 300 miles round trip several times a week to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. Ricky began his first round of chemotherapy Wednesday. The community is rallying behind Ricky to help offset medical bills and to let them know Ricky is not alone. If you're hungry, or you want to help make a difference in this families life during one of the most trying times, head out to the Edge Community Center on Saturday.

"The idea is to raise some money to help the family through this period of time. They'll be making many, many trips to Houston," said Andy Anderson, a family friend.

Ricky Bordeau was unable to attend Saturday's event.

He started his first round of chemotherapy at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston Wednesday and remains there.
