WASHINGTON - Vice President Joe Biden says even if he can't do everything he wants to combat gun violence, doing something is still better than doing nothing.
He met Wednesday with representatives of victims of gun violence and gun safety groups -- part of a series of meetings he's holding this week in an effort to reach agreement on proposals to curb gun violence.
He told participants that he and President Barack Obama are determined to act.
Participants included the Brady Campaign to End Gun Violence and groups from Arizona, Illinois and Wisconsin. Also present were two survivors of the Virginia Tech shooting.
Obama has asked Biden to deliver policy proposal by the end of the month.
