Black Friday Kicks Off the Holiday Shopping Season

Shoppers have been getting an early start on Black Friday.

About 11,000 people wrapped around Macy's flagship store in New York City's Herald Square, waiting for it to open at midnight. A handful of shoppers waited outside in tents Thursday afternoon for a Best Buy store in Ann Arbor, Michigan's midnight opening.

And some stores, like Toys R Us and Wal-Mart, actually did business Thursday night.
