Bomb Threat Leads to Evacuation at Montgomery High School

MONTGOMERY, Texas – Montgomery High School northwest of Conroe was evacuated Friday due to a bomb threat, a school district spokeswoman said.

Shortly after 10 a.m. all students were moved out of the school as the campus was swept by police and K-9 units. Some students sent text messages to their parents about the lockdown and subsequent evacuation.

The school district said surrounding schools prepared to bring in food and water while the students waited at a nearby stadium. Shortly before noon, the school was deemed safe and the students were allowed to return to class, however.

The spokeswoman said the threat was found written on a school wall.
