A Brazos County Jury has found a Bryan woman guilty of hiring a hitman to kill her husband.
Jurors convicted Gelber today of solicitation to commit capital murder. She faces up to life in prison for the crime.
The Brazos County Sheriff's Office says Gelber met with an investigator posing as a hitman in a parking lot near the LaSalle Hotel, a short walk from where she lives. She offered her wedding ring as a down payment and $60,000 dollars once the life insurance from her husband's death came through.
The punishment phase started today and is expected to wrap up tomorrow.
