BRYAN/COLLEGE STATION The 2014 Senior Games are underway!
Events kicked off early Saturday morning with a 5K run that started at the Scott & White Clinic on University. Events are scheduled all weekend long.
Some events started earlier this week. On Thursday, swimming and dominoes events started the games. Friday saw golf, bowling and Pickleball, a unique event for the games.
According to the city of College Station, the number of athletes participating in this year's games have more than doubled from last year. 401 athletes between the ages of 49 and 88 scheduled to compete in track and field, swimming, basketball, cycling, golf, volleyball, tennis, a road race, pickleball, disc golf, horseshoes and washers.
