Brazos County Health Department Closes Two College Station Restaurants

Updated: Wed 7:01 PM, Jun 20, 2012

The Brazos County Health Department temporarily closed down two area eateries with some major problems.

The Ninfa's in College Station was closed after inspectors found several roaches. The critters were spotted in the kitchen on the floor, walls, and near the plates.

Inspectors immediately shut down Ninfa's and after a thorough cleaning and even replacing some equipment, the restaurant re-opened the following day.

Meanwhile the Chef Cao's on University Drive was shut down on Tuesday after it scored a 59 during its inspection.

A total of 10 infractions including several food items not kept hot or cold enough, employees eating in the kitchen, and food stored on the floor shut down Chef Cao's for 24 hours.
