Friday Update: News 3's Michael Oder and the three trucks from Bryan/College Station are finally headed back to Texas. After spending Thursday in tornado-ravagedoplin, Missouri, the convoy is moving back through Oklahoma and into Texas. The donations from the Brazos Valley finally reached their destination early Thursday afternoon. Two trucks were unloaded in a grocery store parking lot off Ridge Line Road and 32nd Street, just six blocks from the heaviest damage from Sunday's deadly tornado. The third truck arrived late Thursday afternoon and was sent to several donation sites across town, including the Joplin Regional Airport. At every donation site, donated goods from the Brazos Valley were put directly in the hands of Joplin residents. Many of them lost everything but the clothes they were wearing. The trucks are expected to be back in Bryan/College Station by Friday evening. ----------------------------------------------------

News 3's Michael Oder is now in Joplin at a relief site. The second and third trucks full of donations were left behind after several mechanical problems. Both trucks are making their way to Missouri to unload. News 3 will have a live updates Thursday from Joplin.

The generous gifts of Brazos Valley residents are on their way to tornado-ravaged Joplin.

Wednesday morning, three large trucks filled with supplies for the residents of the demolished Missouri city left College Station.

Bryan Broadcasting and KBTX Media partnered to collect toiletries, water, diapers and various other supplies needed. Initially, just one truck was ordered, but because of the community's generosity, two more were brought in.
