In about six months, the Brenham Fire Department will have a new hazardous materials trailer to help during emergency situations throughout Washington County.
The department has received a $25,000 dollar grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority that will be used to buy the trailer for use during hurricanes, droughts and wildfires.
$7,000 raised during events like the annual Fireman's Fiesta will be used to help pay for the trailer.
