BRENHAM, WASHINGTON COUNTY Some parents have reached out to News 3, concerned about a fight at Brenham High School Wednesday.

Brenham Police say one student attacked another over money Wednesday around noon, sending one of them to the hospital. Police say the attacker was arrested and charged with assault. Officers say that he had brass knuckles and the victim had cuts on his face and head.

As a result of the fight, Brenham police has had officers on campus to make their presence known. Angela Hahn, Public Information Officer for Brenham PD, said the fight was an isolated event and they have no reason to believe there is anything else planned. They understand why parents would be considered. Hahn said the department has heard rumors about other events, but says nothing has been confirmed.
