Briarcrest Drive Construction Begins

A major makeover is coming to Bryan's busiest street with construction crews moving in Monday.

Contractors are just starting the $4.7 million project along Briarcrest Drive between Highway 6 and Kent Street.

The project will include adding an extra right turn lane on each side of the road as well as installing concrete medians.

Lane closures in each direction are expected during construction but not just yet this week.

The project is expected to be complete by late August 2013.
