Bryan Crash Kills Motorcycle Driver

A crash Thursday night in Bryan killed a motorcyclist.

It happened on Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Clear Leaf Drive. Bryan first responders were called around 7:00 p.m. to the crash involving a Lexus SUV and a motorcycle in front of Jane Long Middle School.

Police believe the motorcycle driven by Brandon Maple was northbound on Harvey Mitchell when the driver of the southbound SUV turned in front of the motorcycle.

Maple, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Bryan Police Department crime unit was called to investigate.

The name of the SUV driver was not released.

Harvey Mitchell was blocked in both directions for several hours as police investigated what happened.
