Two days after being arrested on charges of secretly taking video of an employee changing in a bathroom, Bryan dentist Bill Birdwell has resigned from the State Board of Dental Examiners.

Governor Rick Perry's office says the governor asked Birdwell to resign after he was charged on Wednesday. He was appointed by Perry in 2009.

The board has removed his name from their website.
