A Bryan dentist arrested on charges of secretly taking video of an employee changing in a bathroom has voluntarily surrendered his dental license.

A lawyer for the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners says Bill Birdwell,67, gave up his license last Thursday, the same day he resigned from the board.

Birdwell can reapply for the license in the future, but would have to re-take a clinical exam among other requirements.

Birdwell is charged with improper visual recording.
