BRYAN - UPDATE 9:45 pm 4/7/14
Just before 6:00pm Monday the 2011 Ford Edge was located unoccupied in Bryan. The investigation is still ongoing and further details will be released as they become available.
Bryan firefighters have found a pair of bodies in a home that burned down Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to the two-alarm house fire at 2000 block Vinewood Drive around 4:30 a.m. Scanner reports said that flames and smoke could be seen coming out of the windows.
As of 4:55 a.m., they had the fire contained to the house and under control. As they later combed through the rubble, they found one body in one portion of the home. A later search of the house yielded a second body in a different part of the home.
Police are now working to identify the bodies and determine causes of death. BPD says the bodies were so badly burned that they will likely have to rely on dental records to determine who they are. The cause of the fire is also under investigation.
Initially, Bryan Police on the scene told News 3 no one was home at the time of the fire.
Vinewood Drive and Elmwood Drive are both closed to traffic while the investigation gets underway.
Police are looking for a silver, four-door 2011 Ford Edge with Texas license plate CH8X555. This vehicle is apparently associated with the address.
