Travis Carroll, 20, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for murder.
A Brazos County jury convicted Carroll Thursday for his role in the 2011 killing of Billy Joe Menard Junior.
Investigators say Carroll was with two other people at the Wild Oaks Apartment Complex in October of 2011 when Menard was shot and killed, reportedly after a conflict regarding a drug trade.
Police reports say Carroll was downstairs at the time of the shooting but he provided guns to the two other men.
In a past interview with News Three, his family claimed Carroll didn't know Menard was going to be killed.
His two co-defendants are serving prison sentences for the crime.
