A 46 year old Bryan man has been sentenced to life in prison for molesting his four year old stepdaughter in 2010.
Virgil Jones was convicted of child molestation, and this was his second conviction for having sexual contact with a child. Judge Travis Bryan sentenced Jones to the life sentence following the latest guilty verdict.
During the trial, prosecutors called the victim, who is now seven years old, to testify against her stepfather.The Brazos County District Attorney's office says the victim in this case serves as an example for any child who is in an abusive home that it's ok to speak out.
