Bryan police say a 9-1-1 call led to a suspected burglar being caught in the act Tuesday morning.
Officers say a call came in for a burglary in progress at a home in the 3100 block of Heatherwood in Bryan. The caller described that a man was forcing his way into a house through the home's backyard. Officers responded to the scene and say the suspect, 18 year old Quintarious Jackson, ran from police on foot.
Officers arrested Jackson and were able to return the stolen property. He has been charged with Burglary of a Habitation, Evading Arrest, and Criminal Trespassing.
BPD says they want to commend the witnesses in this case for reporting the suspicious activity which helped shut down the burglary in progress.
