On March 7, 2013, the Bryan Police Department hosted the annual 2012 Awards Banquet to honor officers for doing a great job during 2012. The banquet Master of Ceremony was Karla Castillo from KBTX and the Guest Speaker was former Mayor Marvin Tate. During the banquet officers, civilians, and reserve officers were recognized for outstanding achievement.
The award recipients were:
Officer of the Year: Officer Ellis Boyd
Civilian of the Year: Mrs. Caron Peters
Also acknowledged were officers who received various medals, commendations and citations. There is no higher accolade that these officers can receive than to be nominated and recognized by their peers. Congratulations to all the award recipients on a job well done.
