UPDATE: Bryan police have arrested a Waco man in connection with a deadly shooting in Waco. 36 year old Carnell Petetan Junior was arrested early Monday morning. Petetan is booked in the Brazos County jail.
WACO (September 24, 2012)-Waco police were investigating a shooting Sunday evening at an apartment complex on East Lake Shore Drive.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to the 2500 block of Lake Shore Drive to the Landing Apartments where callers reported a person had been shot.
According to Waco Police, when officers arrived on the scene, they found a 41-year-old woman dead, shot in the head and torso.
Sgt. Steve Graeter of Waco Police said that the main suspect in the homicide is the woman's ex-lover.
The woman's 9-year-old daughter was reported missing after the shooting, but Waco police confirmed late Sunday evening that the daughter had been located. No other details were made available.
Police in Bryan report they are questioning people of interest in connection to the shooting. No arrests have been made.
