As an upper-level weather maker swings into Texas, numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to remain scattered across the Brazos Valley. A few storms could be strong -- with heavy rain, thunder, & occasional lightning -- however, this activity is not expected to become severe. Rain chance will remain in place through mid-morning to midday Friday.
BRYAN - Bryan Police say a man is dead after he drove into a ditch Saturday night. The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Anthony Miller of Bryan.
It happened at 9:15 p.m. near Texas Avenue between Willhelm Drive and Old Hearne Road. Witnesses said Miller was speeding down South Texas Avenue when he veered into on coming traffic, over corrected, and rolled into a ditch in the 1900 block of Texas Ave.
He was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, where he passed away.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
