A Bryan teen has set a new record at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Tristan Sisson's Reserve Grand Champion Turkey sold for $110,000 last Friday. That's $4,000 more than the previous record.
Sisson's hen, named "Goat" by his two-year-old niece, netted the 16-year-old Bryan High School sophomore $15,000. The remaining money will be distributed to other students showing at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
The money Sisson made will go into a savings account to be used for college.
He's been showing turkeys since 2007.
