BRYAN UPDATE 7:42 P.M.:
Bryan police have released updated information on a wreck Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators have determined a pick-up driven by Jacoris Grays was traveling eastbound on Sandy Point Road and failed to yield right of way at North Harvey Mitchell Parkway.
Grays is currently at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan for non-life threatening injuries.
Grays had a 20-year-old female passenger in the bed of the truck. She was confused on scene and stated she was pregnant, but medical staff advised she was not.
The woman is being treated at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan with serious injuries.
The Chevy Tahoe was traveling southbound and struck the truck on the driver’s side causing the truck to roll onto its side throwing the woman from the bed of the truck.
The driver of the Tahoe, a 44-year-old woman was treated and released from St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. The Intersection was closed for approximately two hours and is now open.
Jacoris Grays was cited for failure to yield right of way at stop sign and no driver’s license.
A major accident Tuesday afternoon in Bryan sent three people to the hospital, including a pregnant woman who was ejected from a vehicle.
Police say it happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of FM 2818 and Sandy Point Road.
A preliminary investigation shows a Chevy Tahoe was traveling southbound on FM 2818 when a pick-up traveling eastbound on Sandy Point failed to yield the right of way and the two vehicles collided.
The pick-up rolled onto its side and the pregnant woman was ejected. She received non-life threatening injuries but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Two others were also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Police are asking for you to avoid the area and drivers are being detoured at this time.
