What started out as a disturbance call to 2708 Sprucewood, turned into a homicide scene early Wednesday.

Bryan police discovered the body of an 18-year-old Hispanic male dead inside the living room.

According to police, unknown suspects forced their way into a residence and shot Raymond Cavazos of Bryan.

"He was dead from a gunshot," says Sgt. Brett Boswell of the Bryan Police Department. "Witnesses on the scene say that an unknown suspect or suspects fled the scene and it's unknown right now the reason for the homicide."

Investigators are speaking with neighbors and relatives to try and piece together what happened.

Those who live nearby say Cavazos lived with his dog and kept to himself.

No one else was injured during the shooting and the case remains under investigation.

If you have any information, please call the Bryan Police Department.
