Budget Plan Expected to Pass House

WASHINGTON (AP) As the House prepares to vote later today on a budget measure, there's been criticism from both the left and the right.

And House Speaker John Boehner is denouncing some of the conservative groups that are attacking the measure -- saying those groups are trying to further their own objectives, and not those of the Republican party or the country.

He says some groups linked to the tea party are "pushing" Republican lawmakers "into places where they don't want to be."

Boehner says the budget measure "takes great steps in the right direction."
