An alleged theft of beer, dog food, nuts and coffee got a 55 year old Burton woman in trouble with the law.
Police say that a store employee at HEB in Brenham stopped Patricia Spitzer after she allegedly zipped by the checkout line in a motorized shopping cart carrying the aforementioned items.
When she was arrested, it was discovered that Sptizer was also wanted on a warrant for theft by check.
She was taken to the Washington County jail.
