HOUSTON (AP) School officials from a Houston-area community say a bus transporting a girls track team crashed Saturday morning, injuring two students and the driver.
The Houston Chronicle reports that the driver is believed to have passed out. A spokeswoman for the Humble Independent School District said the students from Kingwood High School and the driver were reported in good condition by mid-afternoon Saturday.
The bus was one of two returning to Kingwood High from a track meet at another high school. The buses were eastbound on Beltway 8 in North Houston when one lost control. The school spokeswoman said the vehicle, which was carrying about 30 track team members, did not strike anything and came to a stop.
The other bus was not involved in the accident.
