A woman was arrested Saturday night for allegedly breaking into an unoccupied College Station home and stealing from the property management company.
Stephanie Latham, 28 of College Station, is charged with Burglary of a Building.
According to College Station Police, they were called to the 1100 block of South Dexter for a burglary in progress. When they arrived, officers say they found the unlocked residence had been entered, and items from the management company had been taken.
The items Latham allegedly stole were returned to the company, Bienski Properties. They included a study desk, a rolling stool and a microwave.
Authorities say when they arrived, Latham was in a pickup truck with the items in the back. She reportedly claimed the items were on the side of the road, but police say neighbors told them they saw her taking the items from the house.
A Bienski Properties representative later told police the items had been inside the home and agreed to press charges.
