COLLEGE STATION, Texas *10 P.M. Update*

We have a crime alert to tell you about in College Station as police are looking into two cases of college students being robbed at gunpoint.

The most recent crime happened just Wednesday morning.

College Station Police need your help finding an aggravated robber.

According to CSPD, a Texas A&M Student was robbed at around 1 Wednesday morning in the 1300 block of Barthelow Drive outside the Red Stone Apartment complex where he lives.

Police say cash, credit cards, and a cell phone were stolen when the robber pulled out a small, silver colored semi-automatic pistol.

While the student was uninjured the suspect got away.

"We want to get that person identified as quickly as we can," said College Station Police Lieutenant Chuck Fleeger.

Fleeger says there are similarities with this and another robbery that happened Sunday.

That night a graduate student reported being robbed by a man with a similar description outside of his apartment at the Cedar Ridge Complex in the 1600 block of Southwest Parkway.

News 3 spoke to the victim by phone who said he wasn't hurt in the conflict. He told police the suspect didn't get away with anything.

The race of the suspect is not known but he is described as having a slender build, about 5'10, wearing a mask.

He fled on foot in both cases too.

"We'll be looking for any type of common threads between the two of them. We'll be speaking with other agencies as we do on any type of investigation to see if there's any other information they may have," said Fleeger.

In meantime police suggest being aware of your surroundings and to travel in groups late at night to avoid being a target.

We're told that the student robbed Wednesday morning is ok.

If you have any information on these cases, you're asked to call College Station Police at (979) 764-3600.
