COLLEGE STATION Police have released the identity of a man they say led them on a chase through College Station Thursday morning that ended with the suspect crashing into a tree.

Nicholas Bell, 20, of Houston was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle and evading arrest.

Investigators say it started when Bell pulled a gun on a driver in Houston and stole his car.

A G-P-S tracker signal was picked up in College Station just before 10 a.m.

College Station Police started chasing the suspect down streets near the Lincoln Center before the driver crashed into a tree outside the South Gate Village Apartments.

Bell was taken to a local hospital to be checked out before he was taken to jail.
