CSU Names Electric Utility Director

Posted: Mon 2:38 PM, Dec 31, 2012

The City of College Station has elevated its interim electric utility director to the permanent role.

Timothy Crabb was named to the top College Station Utilities post Monday. He had been serving as interim since the retirement in July of David Massey.

Crabb has been with CSU since 2006 as was the assistant director before being named interim. He previously worked for 29 years at Oncor.

“College Station Utilities has always been known for its service reliability and excellent customer service,” Crabb said in a press release. “Our goal is to keep improving our services and make things even better.”

Crabb is a University of Texas-Arlington graduate.

“Timothy was selected from a very qualified pool of applicants from across the country,” Deputy City Manager Frank Simpson said in the same release. He has performed very well as interim director since last summer and I’m confident he can provide the leadership CSU needs as we strive to maintain excellent customer service and achieve more competitive rates.”

Massey had been at CSU for 13 years and spent 34 years in the power industry, including a decade-and-a-half at Bryan Texas Utilities.
