The City of Calvert took time to say thank you today to those helping the city's senior center thrive.

Electricity producer, Luminant recently donated a new television and other electronic equipment to the center, and power provider Entergy donated more than $1,000 to build a new handicap assessable ramp.

Calvert's Mayor Marcus Greaves says about 45 people eat lunch at the senior center everyday. He praised the generosity of those who helped contribute to the comfort and well-being of Calvert's senior citizens.
