BRYAN The biannual Jefferson-Jackson Day Banquet and Silent Auction has changed dates. Originally scheduled for Sept. 22, the event had to be pushed back after featured speaker Sen. Wendy Davis suffered a death in the family.
The Jefferson-Jackson Day Banquet and Silent Auction will be held October 27 in the Ballroom of the College Station Hilton Hotel and Conference Center. Doors will open at 4:15 p.m.; the event will begin at 5 p.m. The silent auction has almost 70 items.
The event is hosted by the Brazos County Democratic Party. They regret the inconvenience of rescheduling this banquet, but believe it is important to support Senator Davis as she mourns the loss of her father. If you have further questions please call 979-779-5600.
