BURLESON COUNTY - The Brazos Valley's biggest music festival of the year - Chilifest - is officially underway, but the storms we saw overnight could make an encore performance this weekend.
The annual event draws tens of thousands of music lovers to the "starlight ballroom" in the Burleson County town of Snook. It will feature chili, adult beverages, and country music.
Things kicked off Friday night with a chili cook- off just for the registered teams, and each year profits go to charitable causes.
Hank Williams Junior will headline the entertainment lineup Saturday. He'll be joined by Cody Johnson, Roger Creager, the Turnpike Troubadours and the Randy Rogers Band.
Drivers near Snook this weekend expect to see a big police presence on the highways. Law enforement from around the area say they'll be watching for drunk drivers. County records show a spike in D-W-I arrests the weekend of Chilifest each Spring.
