BRYAN - A thank you message Friday night in Bryan in the form of a celebration tonight by the Lions Club, 100 Club, and a group of sponsors in honor of those who keep us safe.

The "Honoring our Heroes" event featured a free dinner at the Brazos County Expo Complex for first responders and others who come to aid in emergency situations.

Musical guests included the Texas Swing Band "Asleep at the Wheel", and organizers say it was all about showing appreciation for those who risk everything for the good of their community.

Nearly 600 people were expected to take part in the fun.
