College Station City Council Votes 6-1 in Favor of Rental Registration Changes

COLLEGE STATION- The College Station City Council voted six to one Thursday night to revise the city’s rental registration ordinance. This revised ordinance includes a citation provision and a requirement of a current lease agreement to be presented to the city administrator for review. The citation provision now gives the city an option to impose civil fines ranging from $180 to $500 depending on the number of offenses. The revisions will take effect in 45 days.
