Brazos Valley Burn Bans: The following counties are under a Burn Ban: Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Lee, Leon, Madison, Milam, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Washington
On June 1, 2013 Officers with the College Station Police Department responded to the 400 Block of University Oaks for a reported of a possible assault.
Officers met with the victim who reported that she was assaulted by her boyfriend who also forcibly removed her from her vehicle. Her boyfriend then took the victim to a residence of a family member of his outside the city where he left her. The victim later left the residence after her boyfriend returned her vehicle and left.
When contacted by Officers the victim reported that she was initially assaulted at her residence and when she left her boyfriend followed her to the 1300 block of University Dr. E.
In the parking lot her boyfriend blocked her from leaving in her vehicle. Her boyfriend then assaulted and forcibly removed her from her vehicle then forced her into his vehicle. While in his vehicle he continued to assault the victim including strangling her.
The victim had bruising on her neck and arms which were consistent with being strangled. She was treated at a local hospital and released.
Detectives were called out to investigate the case and obtained two warrants for his arrest. Area agencies were alerted about his wanted status and on 6/3/13 College Station Police were notified that Brazos County Constables had located and arrested him on their warrants.
