COLLEGE STATION - A female suspect tried running from police Saturday with two small children in her vehicle, which she rammed into another car.
Around 2:00 p.m., College Station Police Department responded to the area of Longmire Dr. and Brothers Blvd. for a theft in progress at the Walmart there.
That's when they learned that 26-year-old Chelsea Farrow from College Station was their suspect and on the run with items she'd taken from the store
While attempting to flee the scene in a U-Haul, police say Farrow rammed another vehicle that had been backing out of a parking space and blocking her path and continued to flee the scene.
Police say they followed Farrow down Longmire, where the police report says she turned hard onto a pair of streets before jumping a curb near the intersection of Hilltop and Airline. Farrow, after reportedly telling police she had just come from the U-Haul rental store, was taken into custody for Endangering a Child, Theft, and for damaging another vehicle.
Officers learned Farrow had two children, ages three and five, in the vehicle. They were not believed to be wearing seat belts, and there were no child safety seats.
No one was injured during the crash.
