College Station Woman Featured On "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire"

Updated: Thu 6:40 PM, Apr 12, 2012

Lisa Cangelosi Brown got her shot at a million dollars on the TV game show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire."

"Getting to see myself on national television is a little nerve wracking," said Brown.

The show was filmed in August of last year, but part one of her two part appearance aired Thursday in College Station.

"It's a lot more luck than it is skill so I thought, hey, I can do this," said Brown.

This isn't the first time Lisa has been on TV. She got a shot on Hollywood Squares in the 90's, had a starring role in a movie with Willie Nelson, and even had a role in the 2003 movie Bruce Almighty.

So far, after just a few questions on Millionaire, Lisa is up to $26,000 in winnings.

Her excitement lead her to hug her husband, former News 3 Anchor Joe Brown during the show and they're planning on using the winnings to start a family.

"The reason I chose to do this is because Joe and I want to begin the paperwork for adoption. We were doing this to try to jump start our saving account for that," said Brown.

And even though the episode was filmed eight months ago, we won't know how much Lisa won until part two of the Millionaire episode airs on Friday.

"It really wasn't till afterwards that I said, did that really happen? Did I really do this," said Brown in amazement.

You can see how Lisa does Friday on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." It airs on NBC at 2 p.m.
