Brazos Valley Burn Bans: The following counties are under a Burn Ban: Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Lee, Leon, Madison, Milam, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Washington
Construction is well underway at the Bryan Premiere Cinemas. Crews are building the first ever IMAX in the Brazos Valley.
"It's very exciting to bring IMAX to Bryan/College Station because it's been missing from the market forever," said Gary Moore CEO of Premiere Cinemas.
Moore says convincing the IMAX Corporation to put one of their enormous screens in the smallest market ever wasn't a hard sell and its arrival should be epic.
"We took them to a couple of local favorite spots, we brought them on a tour of the theater, they have seen what Premiere has done in other markets and they really loved the market," said Moore.
The IMAX 3D is expected to be completed in late July or early August and Moore hopes when folks see movies like The Great Gatsby, they'll be saying, great Scott!
"We always have tried to keep the bar high for movie going in Bryan/College Station and offer the best entertainment experience that we can. IMAX was just a natural fit," said Moore.
The IMAX theater at Premiere Cinemas will be 40 feet high by 72 feet long and have 350 reclining leather chairs.
In addition to the IMAX being added to the theater the cinema's Back Stage Bistro has gone through a complete remodel and will have everything from a Starbucks to several adult beverages.
