Cops and kids hit the pavement Saturday to learn about bicycle safety.
More than 20 kids received new bicycles and helmets around Christmastime thanks to the College Station Police's Badges and Bikes Program.
On Saturday those kids, family members and anyone else who wanted to participate, went for a two mile bike ride around Bee Creek Park.
Folks from Bill Jones Farmers Insurance also handed out child safety packets and brought breakfast.
"Using the trail here that the City of College Station has graciously built for us and just teaching kids some bike safety. How to ride on their own and how to ride safely," said Officer Michael Kennedy of the College Station Police Department.
Kids as young as two all the way up to adult age rode in the event.
