TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY - Kyle Field isn't the only place on campus under construction. The Quad for Texas A&M's Corps of Cadets is transforming.
Thursday, the Ash Leadership Learning Center was unveiled. The 17,000 square foot facility is the second of four centers set to be added onto the quad. They're providing technology and study spaces for cadets to advance their educations right where they live.
Three dorms have also been renovated as part of the Quad project that started three years ago. More dorms are on tap for major changes.
"With all the obligations of the Corps, with all the obligations of student life, we need a place where we can study, and make it accessible, and facilitate an environment that makes us successful," said David Trigg, the Corps commander for the 2014-2015 school year.
The latest leadership learning center is named for one of the major donors to its construction, H. Grady Ash, Jr, class of 1958.
