Caldwell Three Caldwell teachers are no longer facing criminal charges for failing to report the sexual abuse of a child.

Special prosecutor for the State of Texas, Forest Sanderson, says the charges were dropped Monday.

Caldwell Middle School counselor Bliss Bednar, Caldwell High School assistant principal Vance Skidmore and Caldwell High School Principal Bradley Vestal were indicted last August.

The three were accused of failing to report a 15-year-old girl's essay about abuse.

Sanderson says he found no criminal intent and that the essay could have easily been interpreted as fictional.

Edward Clinton Lee is currently serving a life sentence for sexually assaulting the girl and killing her grandmother, who was his girlfriend at the time.
