DALLAS (AP) A Dallas-area teacher has been found slain in New Mexico where she was visiting a friend and police have identified a person of interest in the killing.
Police in Carlsbad, N.M., identified the victim as 30-year-old Emily Lambert. Police on Wednesday did not release further details on the person of interest in the homicide investigation.
Authorities say Lambert was last seen Saturday night leaving a bar in Carlsbad. Her body was discovered Tuesday afternoon along a highway about 8 miles southeast of Carlsbad.
No cause of death was immediately released.
Lambert was a teacher in the Richardson Independent School District.
