DALLAS (AP) - An undercover Dallas police officer has suffered a minor gunshot wound in his leg while trying to serve a drug warrant at a house.

Police on Tuesday searched for the suspect.

Police say the officer's leg was grazed Monday night when gunfire came from within the house as officers approached. Police returned fire, leading to a standoff that ended several hours later when a search turned up nobody in the structure.

Police Chief David Brown says the officer was lucky to have avoided serious injury. The name of the injured officer wasn't immediately released.
