Demographer: College Station School District Needs New Schools

COLLEGE STATION The College Station Independent School District continues to grow, and that means a need for more schools.

The school board heard from a demographer Tuesday that by the end of this decade the school district will probably need a 10th elementary school, a 3rd intermediate school, and a 3rd middle school.

That's if population projections hold true.

Right now there are about 11,600 students in the district, but that number is expected to grow dramatically by 2020.
