Local Boy Scouts Raise Money For Diabetic Alert Dog

Bryan, TX We've recently told you about 8-year-old Libby Stewart of Bryan who has type one diabetes. She can't tell when her blood sugar is low and needs a specially trained diabetes alert dog which costs $28,000.

The local Boy Scouts raised $2,000 selling American Flags as a special project and will be presenting their donation to Libby and her mom at a special meeting at 7 P.M. Monday.

That's happening at their building on 28th Street next to First United Methodist Church in Bryan.

Libby now needs about another $5,000 to meet her goal and hopes to have a dog by the end of summer.
