College Station On July 24, 2013 at approximately 0349 hours, officers with the College Station Police Department were dispatched to the 1800 block of Sara Drive in reference to a crash in which a vehicle struck an apartment building.
Upon arrival, officers located one vehicle that had left the roadway and struck the bottom northwest corner of the apartment.
The driver claimed he had attempted to dodge wildlife that had entered the roadway.
The driver lost control of his vehicle and hit the apartment.
From the investigation it was determined there was no alcohol or drugs involved. The driver was the sole occupant in the vehicle and found to have non-incapacitating injuries.
He was cited for fail to control speed.
No other injuries were reported. College Station Fire Department and College Station Utilities were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
The occupants of the apartment building were notified of the incident.
